The Spanish Association of Economic History (AEHE) summons the first edition of the EUGENIO LARRUGA PRIZE to the best doctoral thesis of Economic History, read by its members in any university institution. The Prize will take care of the scientific excellence of the thesis and the relevance of its contribution in anyone of the fields of Economic History. With this Prize, the AEHE wishes to recall the figure of Eugenio Larruga Boneta (1747-1803), economist and writer, author among others of the monumental work Memorias políticas y económicas sobre los frutos, fábricas, comercio y minas de España (45 vols., published between 1788 to 1800), considered like one of those of greater spread of the Spanish Illustration.
